ancient apocalypse
acknowledging
her imminence

natural convulsions
metamorphic quivers
modify a transient planet

rupture escapes
pouring protest
from fuming earth
roiling a defiling flood

with sulfurous breath
the signs flow forth
from Pentecostal
prophesies

projecting a chronology
beyond the gnawed skulls
and petros bones
of once primordial beasts

should our demigods be still?
or dance
like whirling dervishes
along the fiery fractures
of volcanic voice

"If at first an idea is not absurd, there is no hope for it."
Albert Einstein

A transient planet ... yes Gaia is alive and her volcanic voice is frightening!

... as well as fascinating!

Very impressive write!

Thanks Margherita,

Her transient nature foreshadows our own "imminence".

Thanks Maree,

He's out in Oregon right now, but doing fine.
