harbor moon
you are the gypsy's candle
at her wagon window
when the lonely whisper
there is warm

I touch the sides of you
like a velvet ocean
and taste your salty lantern
on my fingers
like a kiss sometimes

blown from a limb
onto the tin roof soul
and you shake me awake then
with your tide tease ties
my hands know the wound of you

but we are helpless lovers
in our statued skins
waiting for the dawn
to bring us chisels
and be the hammer

that makes us into blended dust
