Oh spirit of the Holy one I seek you, though in vain My thoughts, they seem to weigh a ton From dawn until the day is done Each moment seems the same The Devil plays his game Possessed I am, my mind and soul By dread that wont refrain Much does see the clock of toll Aimlessly I onward stroll The pain, I can not tame Oh spirit of the Holy Master Where I pray it’s cold My mind with thoughts is running faster Days have turned into disaster Quickly I grow old Weakened body, no desire Vulnerable, is my attire How the days unfold Strength I’m needing to admire As I drift down to the fire Sleep no more, I tire, tire My heart, its fate is told Oh spirit of the Holy Lord Fulfillment arms have closed Not sustained by love or cord But by devil untoward His sin of black imposed I lay my knees down to the ground My hands they join for prayer I hear for you, but not a sound Your presence I feel all around I know your everywhere And always will be there Wherever I am bound |
