Garlic Nights “Step Alive My Fading Pretties!” says a spirited empty street life forms of the day recoil with a foreboding stench of defeat pointing torches toward their fleeing are the waning to ruthless sludge-eaters distorted indications, enamored foolishly discerning this day, so helplessly dying letting loose...insidious demons they are the beasts of imagery who come to shed our fate upon the fears of sympathy with a blinding miserable hate foul sense of dread, sends, grief into the night awaiting kindness, with open armed ideals breathing frost, across each breath of light subverting shadow’s of gregarious chills vile creatures surging forth to have their darkest ways inner demons fighting desperately to keep ruin firmly checked stalkers, rapists, murderers altering nature’s subtle day lies we firmly stand against, while sultry fiends gnaw wickedly at our helpless necks ghosts of the past creep into our dreams where no warmth of light may rescue human beings rustlings of the wind, shadows lowly bent to cast upon our mental states forms bitterly condemned to rot a soul of faith I had the most God awful dream, last night hehe, thank God it's daylight! |

You need not shutter At the friends of other That slip out into the darkness; For I’m sure there’s others Eating garlic and butter That shun the brightness. Oh surely there are killers and rapist, But also societies escapist That find peace in the night; And though there are sharp teeth It’s just a mistaken belief, And everything will be all right; So come with me of pallor We’ll sit and sip in my parlor And listen to the music beyond the light. LeeJ "ghosts of the past creep into our dreams where no warmth of light may rescue human beings" I really don't have a problem with nightmares, for they end in no consequences, other than a few emotional and physical shivers... It is what goes on in the day that I need rescued from sometimes. Strong poetry, as always.... ----------ice/ford ><> |
