True to her heart
she laid it bare
for the world to see
herself and imperfections
in all her majesty
fluttering through waves
and tears of good bye
she is a free spirit
with an honest approach
her arms wide open
daring to fly
who will stand beside you
in her selfless way
sharing your happiness
letting love be
in spite of loves rejection
she does not question
her fate or well being
for she
is a faithful lover
and a lot like me
who remains in her misery
true to her heart.

Perhaps this be an empathetic, and appreciative, write for someone we all know and love?!?

With a heart as giving and loving as yours, you were able to write this poem with apparent caring and understanding, Beautiful Bluesy One...

I don't know, I guess this is more for me and the one who stole my heart a long time ago, but I've seen it so many times.  I'm not sure "misery" was the right choice of words, because in my sadness I've made peace with my blues.  I'm just a little jaded, but I'll be ok, and I thank you all.  You're really something, so very special to me!!!

I haven't the words tonight, but thought I'd tell you how much I like this.  I like reading what you've written because you write so openly of feelings that many have had or are having.  You write so smoothly.

"letting love be
in spite of loves rejection"

There must be a medal for this somewhere down the line of time.

Enjoyed this write, Bluesy gal.
