A restless night of thought,
Of things and times
Of rings and rhymes,
Little bits of what time has brought.
Yes, you're on my mind,
In the hole beside
In my dreams you hide,
Yet tonight those dreams I can't find.
Those white gladiolas still bloom,
They weren't a nice pink
The salesman was wrong I think,
And I cut them for the living room.
I can sleep alone most nights,
But sometimes you're near
Residue of things you did here,
Then I need to hold you tight;
But there's a hole in the bed,
Should be warm, but is cold instead.

I too, have known such nights ~ and your vividly descriptive writing of yours, just brought mine all back to me!

Thank goodness they are behind me and I now have mostly dreams of sweet! I wish this for you as well!
