Listening to every heart

You were that Moment’s magic…

Dappled me, you did…with sunlight
and blue skies, mountainsides
and memories…

you were that moment’s magic
when all the naysayers had to
eat dry bread
with no water…better than
crow any time…

you were that special air
that carried our laughter to
skies which shone down
upon two girls from yesterday,
even though we only
strode memory lane…so much of
our puzzled pieces fit the other’s life…

You made me believe in twos…
and veins of color beneath limbs
of chance…held the belief
just a little longer…

How can I thank you…
when you still deem,
then smile, and
lift me so?

Dappled me, you did, with
evermores and twos…

and the fact that our hands, in friendship…
fit so well…Now, Then, Again...

Love,

Such a deep outpouring expressed with exquisite simplicity.  Love your writing.  Ken

This has such an aura of gentle happiness...such moments are all too rare, but that isn't why they're treasured. They're treasured because they're treasure.

Reading this makes me think about a friend I have that I haven't talked to in a while. I don't know what you had in mind when writing this, but there has to be something within all of us that can relate to your words. Without communion with another, there is so much less joy. And I imagine you gave much to the union - and the gift is in the giving.  Thank you for your lovely words.

Beautiful, as so much of your poetry is, and a wonderful tribute to a friend, too...

You write not with common ink. You write with liquid gold from the glorious sun...
