I’m not the one the sun shines on
but I can understand
why mother, sky, moves on and glides
to another far off land.

The one she bore she can’t ignore
but he travels and he travels
rising so in different moods
and setting in review
until in heart he slowly weeps
and mourns the loss of sleep.

The son from childhood now a man
but I can understand
when free in spirit he would leave
a mother’s hand behind
and turn a forceful influence
into a memory.

She follows though he doesn’t know
but, of course, he knows enough
to keep the goodness locked inside
and shine down onto land
the rays of an imposter
and disavower of the truth.

So shines the sun on everyone
but there are dreams in the ether
between a mother and a son
and story tellers numbered few
say soon they’ll fade away
unless the sun, the son,
shines down internal love
and not the weakened rays
of outer falsity.

The sun, the son - another year is done
and the mother, sky, moves on and glides
to another far off land!

Maybe soon the sun will be obscured by the growing cover of clouds. Will that bring relief or sadness? and the son too may soon be obscured. Enjoy what you may while you may. But what the heck do I know I'm only a rookie here.

I was moved to read this graceful and magical write, in the softest of whispers...
