The storm was so sudden and cold
Frigid blasts that stilled a life on hold
In the decision of clouds, the envision of shrouds
An icy death to what once flowed between us
The sky seemed to deny a sign of life
A promise made the only song the heavens played
To echo in the empty hulls of my dreams

A statue in the wind, my blood had thinned
My body moved mechanically, my hopes had dimmed
A promise made between myself and I…to never live a lie
Though what was said was said, colliding with a wall instead
Of water to the meadow, just tears to the stiletto of my fears
I wondered in the snow, but how was I to really know
And stirring clouds became the better way, still more to say
Although the touch might linger in the siege of sterner finger
There is no proof the winds will bring the storm
The love inside made promise never once forlorn
And stirring clouds might let the sun again be born

Give me a broom or something and I will help
stir them away...  Well done K.

I like the imagery of this, Kathleen...
I argued a bit that some things couldn't be,
if there is a belief that they can...
but all in all, I enjoyed this bit of you
very much.

Thank you, and enjoy your Sunday...
