Something Of The Sky

There is something of the sky in you,
a haze of blue just at the edge of things,
as if you were part of the horizon
but somehow near and real....

An essential skyness, a something
that is other than I am, somehow higher,
real and surreal together, a sibilant light
not to be touched by ordinary hands....

Yet I reach up, see my hands against the sky,
the sun, clouds shimmering through my fingers
as from my vantage I do touch, and touching
my hands are blessed, not ordinary any more....

So I reach, and
there is something of the sky in you....

Your hands? I'd like to touch someday

Beautiful this and you.

The scattered light creating blue hues, much like the patterns of life ~ this poem has a magical quality that reflects the enchantment of love.  Enjoyed this!

I can't imagine your hands ever being ordinary... not when they can create such beauty as this.

You've painted a beautiful horizon on the edge of the sky, James_A~

This is by far, one of your finest moments!!
