Woman-ease

Ask me now the questions
Once like sugar in the raindrops
Ask me now about my visions,
Nearly sighted as my heart stops
Of the landscapes and the sunsets
Made of mind drench basins sprawl
A lake of cool resilience,
In its brilliance to recall
Ask me of the music so unique of us in tune
Of the sunrise as it bathes us
Through the window of our room
In the notion of the cedar
Cut and split in snug accord
Warm and willing to adventure
In the smile of raindrops poured
Ask me now about forgiveness,
Letting go, and holding on
As the chimes of my conviction
Blend emotions blue and blonde
Ask me why then, I have waited
For your journey to bring thus
All the gold of one chance beating
To embrace the best of us
I can answer very truly,
From each sound that faith bestows
Ask me now of love eternal,
In the way a woman knows

Your work is always so perfectly seemless I can't help but think of another poet here who is par excellence, and that would be our dear Liz Santos.

Both of you, when I read, have this physical calming effect on me.

and this is an excellent poem for me to read last, as the last poem I read generally sticks in my head.

I'm off to water my garden now and hugs, Kathleen.

Agreeing with Karen...

This is so perfectly penned.

Simply beautiful, Kathleen...
