Awaken, my copper teapot, to the dawning web and varnished grass;
Spew out the bubbles, your steam and luster
Energize air above liquid glass.

Shorten our slumber if you must, or shrill your engineers whistle;
Hurry, step aboard!  Times train is on its way.
But first, a cup of Tazo, tea time begins the day.

*I found the following information on the back of
Tazo Chai tea box.  I found it interesting and thought you might, too.

  "TAZO- n. (ca. 4786 B.C.)  The act of being transported to a place of past memory by a specific smell;
  At various times throughout history, Tazo has surfaced among the more advanced cultures of the day as a way to combat the mundane.   When the spirit of a village started to fall and people lost their enthusiasm for life, the leader would often summon a tea shaman to distribute Tazo, which gave the community a renewed sense of joy."

Without memory
of what to improve,
better, or to just
enjoy,
what challenge, then,
daylight?

Ah...it provides inspiration, too!

Earth Angel,
    I'd be delighted to partake in tea time with you!  Now tell me about the flavor of your chai.  (I've just begun the taste testing and didn't know so many types of teas existed!)
    Have a super day, Earth Angel.
          Love and hugs returned!

This is so true....and any smell can do it, you never know...my son brought home his new tires, for the wheels that hadn't arrived yet (yup, gone car-crazy, fixing the old thing up).....oh that smell of new rubber....and it became the smell of MY new rubber, My car, MY year...1967...and a little dose of happiness.

Miscee........Fragrance sure does bring up memories, and make new ones.  I'm a coffee drinker, and Kona takes me back to a most wonderful time in Maui.  Thanks for this reminder to use all the senses.

I’ve never acquired the taste of coffee, but tea, that is a different story… Your poem relaxed me, as I enjoyed the savory aroma and served up a cup of Darjeeling white tea, a work of art….  Thank you for re-hydrating the spirit with your poem.

Oh, you were beautifully inspired here!

This is so true!

Today I was talking to my husband about the fragrances of the countryside we enjoyed time ago ... and the wish to inhale it again.
The memory surfaces instantly with just a small hint.

Oh ... my husband says tea is ready (Green tea). Isn't he nice?

Love and hugs.
