She knows the complexities
and embraces this duality

the need for balance
between  mind and spirit;

body and soul...

       to feel complete
          and be in control

to have all inner
inhibitions released
a soul contending

in eternal quest of peace....

She listens to my voice
and hears my plea;

I am not her
       she is not me

          but still,
                  she knows me......

She is there

somewhere

yet remains
beyond my gaze
and she too,
has run this race
through this maze

of life.

I’ve shared her pain
along with her fears
her heart in unison    beating
I hear

I have been her
     and she
has been me…

We have stood wishing upon
the  very same star

wanting,      and wondering
of places afar

remembering journeys
through the black of night ,
recalling paths taken

beseeching the light

bringing us
to where we now are

She has fought those battles,
and has healed the same scars

we are individual,            yet similar
held in the common bond
of striving, and surviving

           we are strong

I am her
and she is me.........

a woman       understanding

unequivocally....

{dedicated to all of my sisters through word and heart}

I really want to care,
I want to feel something,
let me dig a little deeper
nah, still nothing~
my give a DAMN is busted. Jodee

A very special time, when we loose our own threads, and encompany the woof and weave of others' thoughts...

it is a special time in anyone's life...when we acknowledge that another had stood in similar shoes...

this is...a mile stone of stored thought that has been building for some time, little one...

and for this? I applaud you on all of your accomplishments!

Now...

print this, and store it away, so that your daughter might, someday, find it, and say, "Yes...

this IS my mother!!!"

Love,

the other Mom

Donna?

see?

I knew it needed nothing but you.

Oh, I know her so very well, too

kinda like the sqeaky
rusted tinge
of hamster caged wheel
turning, tumbling -
little feet grabbing
the darkness, hindsight
blinded by the light
sleeping, sleeping,
curled into a ball
infantile in its slumber
resting for the dusk
and fall of dark . . .

*tipping my hat to you*

and smiling . . .

Suzie?

And I know,
how she would fall
into a night of darkness,

one that would not
make her grip tightly
its edges with fear
or cause her to shed
a single tear

but would surround her in
shimmering swirls of peace
and allow the demons
to be released..

I know her...

She smiles at me
through my own eyes,
bearing the burden
of womanhood
while simultaneously
attempting to stifle
the laughter of child.

I know her well.

She is soulink.

Scrawled upon hearts.

Regurgitated at dawn,
digested by nightfall,
recycling herself
every
single
second
of
eternity.

Your welcome.
Love you too, Donna
