In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2005-05-08 11:13 PM

She gave life
and I am thankful
and I know I must take
after her but
I cant remember

I was young
when your life ended
a seed in bloom

my darker hours were spawned
from your light

~
I don’t remember
if you wore veils of candle light
or black

and would it matter now

you, always out of reach
and I, seeker of love wanting to be held
I am sure I cried in your passing

and waved a child’s goodbye

my smile innocent

do you remember me

by the fence waving
or holding hands with
my brothers
sitting on the ledge of youth

did you cry knowing
you would never hold me
and teach me

I learned love
how to fly --
the ways of life

but your hands did not show me
the way

nor guide me

but I know

even if I cant

remember

~~**~~

In loving memory of my mother
I cant remember her, but I hope
she does.....

I came from the mountain
The crust of creation
My whole situtaion-made from clay to stone

I'm certain, she's looking down right now, and smiling tears of joy...for the person you are, that independent product of love...you gave her a whole new meaning to the words giving birth...mother-hood, well lady, there is nothing like it!

Lovely poem...listen...sheeesh, do you hear her, she's saying, "you silly girl...I love ya bunches"!
