 Artist: Jacqueline Penney Spring Morning ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ Upon my rising this spring morning, Shuttered windows, I opened wide. A burgeoning world lay before me, That beckoned me to come outside. Tulips bright had pushed thru’ soil, In to the dawn of this spring day. Blues, and pinks ~ whites, and yellows, And crimson reds were on display. Daffodils with sunny faces, Reflected rays of solar light. Casting golds on garden walkway, On this day of spring delight. As robins sing, the trees are budding, Grasses turn from brown to green. Nature wakes from winter sleeping, Stretching arms in prideful preen. Lilacs soon will be in blossom, Filling air with essence sweet. The cool, fresh days of early springtime, Will soon give way to summer heat. Upon my rising this spring morning, Shuttered windows, I opened wide. At my mom's house, the lilacs are already in bloom! I love going there because lilac is my favorite scent. Very sweet and springlike. Beautiful poem--I'm so glad spring is finally here!  ~sky They way you live your life is up to you, but dying is NOT an option!! |

TD ~ I can use all the good karma I can get! lol ~ and yes, I had a simply marvellous Mother's Day! Even my wasband phoned from his girlfriend's home (geesh! Go figure! lol) to wish me a happy one and he said many loving and kind things about me being the mother of his childre. That truly was sweet of him. Mind you, my BF, phoned me first to wish me a "Happy Mother's Day"! ~ and we don't have children together! lol My daughters spoiled me and I soaked it up like a bee sipping honey! Skyshine ~ I eagerly await the blossoming of lilacs in our area. I fill my house with them! I paint pictures of them. I wear lilac perfume (all year 'round!). I love wearing purples and mauves. I even will put lilacs in my hair. I get referred to as a "Giant Walking Lilac"! lol Loves & Lilacs, EA |

Noah, that sounds like a plan! ~ Skipping off into the Japanese gardens to take in the splendor of the Irises. My maiden name means Iris and my first name means beautiful! ~ My parents call me their beautiful iris! My middle name means "iron maiden"!
