when she steps into the spotlight
you will never know how fast her heart beats

because she looks so cool,
throws her head back in easy laugh

and you shall never know
how many times her heart has been broken

because she looks so cool,
throws her head back in easy laugh

and you shall never see the scars
nor know how oft she fell on wounded knee

because she looks so cool,
throws her head back in easy laugh

and when she steps into the spotlight,
you will never know how fast her heart beats

But you know! When the clowns step off the scene, their face drops, while people are uplifted.

It's an art, that apparently "easy laugh".

Interesting write, dear Kacy, so well done.

Thanks, friends! this is actually about a friend of mine named Lorie, who flies about like a hummingbird and laughs easily.

You turn a phrase so well.  It is always a pleasure to read you, Kacy.  KJ
