Where water flowed
the earth lay parched,
its' weathered surface to the sky.
Enduring drought,
over-exposed,
to arid winds and dusty sighs.
Innumerable,
the hours and days
with no relief, and none in sight.
No hint of any future stays
the hand that would control this blight.
Yet,
forces gather, and are felt,
that will in time unlock the doors,
for, even as we speak,
somewhere,
the heavens open and it pours.

Good grief Dr. Moose....give me a drink will ya?!! Just pullin' your leg. This is an awesome write and yes, hopefully for those regions parched....rain will come.
hugs, Chris
