could be
gone opportunity
scattered to dust
and settled

back to earth again

still you smile
at me
and I know
it's invitation
to places not been
in a long time

disaster
it's delightful

your smile
and your
engaging places

and it makes me feel

yeah
that

it makes me feel

but I can't get there
from here

"it makes me feel

Too bad!  A lot of life is just roads to places we can't go to but wish we could.

Enjoyed this alot!

This brings to mind a favored Steven Wright quote:

"You can't have everything. Where would you put it?"

(and nod, I can think of at least one place...blushing wicked)

You are a craving unto yourself, Reb.

The thought of feel, alone

Guess you knew you'd get a lot of "yeah that's" in your replies, huh?

Anyway, love the simplicity of this and how you never really say anything and yet you say so much. Leaves it open for all of us to think about this situation in our own lives. Very cool. Well done.

you can always get there from here....

nicely said!

I don’t mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile

But you must, my friend... no matter how great the detour... for if such destination is out of reach, what's the use? *S*

Hmmmm... how dare you go and make me think... knowing I'm blonde... tis very unfair to your aging auntie. *G* But even such a burden can't keep me from liking this tremendously. *G*

" IT makes me feel" Thats the work of a poet. I was told once to tell how I feel, but better I thought to make others feel. thats what you have done here.

I believe those obstacles are nothing more than an alternate way of gently saying

please, please....

Hi LR~  I read this a while back when I wasn't feeling like my old self.  But I wanted you to know I truly enjoyed your forthcoming approach as well as the honesty and sincerity in which you wrote this.  Be it a real life situation or not, it makes one feel.  And that to me is what appeals.

So lets give it another go 'round~ even if we can't get there it's so worth the read.
