'Til Then

In the theater of dreams
warmth flows to comfort me.
The timing of your shadows
a schedule of hope,
as I cast off the demons
that try to invade
interrupting our dance
before sleep takes hold.

I watch your absense
as a silent movie, still untitled
but with lasting depth of feel.
And as the shadows of the night unravel
your hand reaches out,
cups my face, places a kiss
on waiting lips, softening
the emptiness...'til then.

As always, beautifully written.  I thoroughly enjoyed this poem.
