Choka into a Cruise…

based on Gentle Spirits link here…
/pip/Forum29/HTML/001875.html

[She’s been thinkin’, don’t y’know…] She thought a little Choka would get us in the groove…

So…[don’t critique for goodness’ sake…we’re just having fun!] add along!

A Poetstock
with no clocks
no time to watch
but fun...

come aboard the Poet'ship
where life and love is really hip!
Barrels of rum, or wine to sip...
flip-flops required so we don't slip!

Someone's in the corner
rhyming to da-dum
someone's in the pool...
this is too much fun!

Pina Coladas, Margarita style, redbeer
and Koolaid...draw the kids near!
Young and old and in-between
nothing a cruise director's ever seen!

Poets who rhyme or verse in free...
ballads and dears, and spirits in glee...
songs in chant and storied lines...
prose in glow, the air is fine...

A Poetstock
with no clocks
no time to watch
but fun...

groanzzz....I always get the blame!!  lmao!!

The tick of tock
will come to stop
as hours pass away

we'll sail upon
the deep blue seas
and feel the mist
of ocean breeze

and fill the skies
with gaiety
as we hear the
whispers
of poetry

on the wind...

Yes, I think this
"Poetstock"
will show that
poets REALLY know
how to rock!

I just thought I'd leave a note
to tell you both I don't do boats
so if you'll check the thread again
I offered up a different spin
A little bit of carnival
in a house to keep us ALL.

I'll do better
than the Marlboro man...
I'll walk to N'awlins...
to prove that I can...
I'll do the walk
and stow the boat
just to see
the carnival floats!

I'm really not very good
at rhyming to da-dum
but if I sit in the corner
I'll have that shot of rum...

(or two, or three...      )

Susan's on board,
or is she walking with me?
A merry couple we'd make
just the two of we...
but we need much more,
for a party's in store,
we'll crash N'awlins...
and cause a big scene!
then we'll escape to the boat!
for a cruise must begin
the Poet'ship's launching
and they're serving up gin!

I'd love to come!
If I'm promised a mint julep!
And I'll bring a handful of tulips
One for every poet on board...
My outfit will have everyone floored!

I'm certain the male gender will admire
For this cruise my well chosen attire,
It's hotter down south so I'm told..
I'll wear something skimpy and outright bold!

Oh come on...it will be such fun..
Don't tease me because I cannot 'da dum'.
We'll dance and laugh with so much gleeee
Away out there upon the high sea.

A Poet's cruise?
I choose for the booze
And poetic nights
In moon silver lights
And during the day
I'm at rail if I may
To roll my reel
And yell when I feel
A fish on my line
Wouldn't that be fine
We'll cook it together
In Sun warming weather
Oh boy, Oh boy
Whatever the joy
If we should meet
My dream indeed

Titia, waiting to win the lottery tomorrow on our Queen's day. Keep your fingers crossed. (ha ha only thing I ever won with that, couldn't even pay for an icecream these days)

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Serenity I've checked your note
it's ok, we don't have to take a boat,
we can keep our feet on solid ground
while mixing and mingling words around
putting poetic talents on display

We can come down Louisiana way
and have ourselves the most passionate of days,
drinking some special Serenity brew
maybe even have some crawfish stew!

It doesn't really matter where it's held you see,
there will be good times with friends
and poetry!

Cast the sails into the sky,
Pour me a drink—Captain Bligh,
Sing a song of ocean spray,
As we skim about the bay.

Here’s a thought that mayhap’s fun,
Let’s limbo ‘til gone’s the sun,
In laughter let the day be tucked,
And the night we’ll reconstruct.

Call forth the band, play a song,
Poets gather in a throng,
Lift your glasses high in toast,
And a pig or two we’ll roast.

Hugs for all to give and share,
Kisses sweetened by friends there,
Give me a ticket…I’m so gone,
But ask me not to wear a thong!

A limo with a jacuzzi in the back
Time, my friends we'll lose track
We'll not ask EV to wear a thong
as long as he just tags along
to enjoy the fun, in the sun!

I’m off to join PiP friends at sea,
I’ll bring along all sides of me.
~ The sage, the siren, my inner child,
With a touch of class ~ and a lotta wild!

My Mary drink won’t be a Virgin,
My Shirley Temple with gin will burgeon.
No sissy beers or sparkling wine,
A whiskey neat will do me fine.

I’ll slip my vestments off my body,
Wear something red and sheer and gawdy.
Paint my lips with crimson slicker,
To raise the rate of each man’s ticker.

I’ll toss away my wings and halo,
And swivel my hips just like J-Lo.
Sing raunchy songs to stir the blood,
And wrestle guys nude in the mud.

This fallen angel’s hot for fun,
From early morn ‘til day is done.
So bring it on and lets set sail,
~ and not to search for holy grail!!!

Through far away mists
Either by sea, or ashore
Some poets now float ~
Whether by dream or by wave
Fashion their own rainbow coat
