The memories
of melodies
have ceased
to torment.
The lighthouse
has been replaced
with a candle.
We sink
our teeth
into the
flesh of silence,
excited by
it's possibilities.

even candlelight creeps
as an inaudible
indelible stain
on the distance
this silence spans.

swallow carefully
these morsels
of quiet...

I swallow
entire
languages
whole
and choke
on simple
concepts.

But I will savor
every syllable
you put together.

then press this
soundless secrecy

closer to your tongue...

i'd mimic eternity
to sustain you.
