Leftover Shoes I stumbled over your shoe this morning, anger flared, words quickly formed, but then . . . I remembered why that shoe was there, my part in it, the way I loved you, you loved me, the rapturous walk around the couch, down the hall, through the bedroom door – and then, and then . . . I picked up your shoe, rubbed it on my cheek, walked around the couch, down the hall, through the bedroom door and placed it beside it’s mate.
