~This delicately colored beauty is of the English rose variety
from the gardens of Heirloom Roses~
She is Louise Clements~
*She is a fragrantly welcomed bloomer in our gardens*

the spirit rejoices over what it has left.

Don't have roses myself...take far more sun than my yard has...but I do have some beautiful hibicus...couple yellow ones, two different shades of orange, and several reds, and if I can get it going, a dinner plate-sized "confederate rose" as it's called, from my mom...

Loved this..

Dear Marge:  Such a beautiful color. Looks good enough to eat! (I wonder if anyone eats rose petals?)

Hey ... thanks everyone~
And ... sharing a 'secret' -

Truth is ... these lovely petals make such a LOVELY decoration on a cake ... and with not using pesticides ... the petals are edible~
(not delicious, mind you ... but edible)
A STUNNING decorative idea~

I gently remove the petals ... coat them with a small brush in egg whites ... gently poof them with sugar and store them until ready to place on the newly iced cake~
Trust me ... they are raved over at every event I take one to~
(Have to thank my buddy, Martha Stewart, for this little kitchen helper hint)

Now how easy is THAT ??  VERY !

A beautiful flower Marge & what a great idea to use it for decorating.
