In the quiet
of still moments

hear her
in harmony
of sweet serene

crescendo's building
to rise and
fall

listen! oh listen
to her voice
when she calls

softly
she moves

to touch you with delight
in silhouetted glow
reflecting shimmers
of moon's light

she sighs at the night

and in her pausing?
reach
for the wet mouth of her

the blue swell
that is her breathing

swallow the cries
of her breaking
as she lays them
solitary

onto the edge of land

night after night
this is her plight

do not love her
without love

for she exists
and will give to you
her morning

with visions
of amber splendor
she seduces the dawn
in tidal motions
caressing you
with her essence

she

the temptress
entices the tempest

and rages
in her darkness
while soothing you
in gentle sway
stealing your gaze

you are spell-bound

powerless

she'll take control
to leave you
breathless

and wanting more.

I love how this happened, too...

so many overlapping lines of sensuousness...
without becoming cloying - a simple knowledge of

here she is, take her, but know you will
never leave her...

Maree, yeah, it is so odd how it happened and yep, it sure seemed like it was meant
to happen, and I am so extremely grateful that it did. I never dreamed when I wrote that  other poem of my love for the sea that it would inspire me in ways for this one also...but it truly was your descriptions of her there by your side that helped to jog the memories
of her for me.   Damn....I miss her.
You have blessed me, thank you m'dear.
Someday, I will find the appropriate words to thank you but for now
just know....you have touched me.

Kari, you know how much your words mean to me. luv ya mom.....

Hey Dixie, I have to disagree, I remember doing a beautiful duet with you!
Thanks for stopping in.

Mish, thanks so much.  writing with Maree was sooo....fantastic!

Lee, I thank you so much!

Raph, aw shucks......lol... thanks much

DS, it twas my pleasure to be entwined with such a fantastic lady
thanks babe.

Margherita, I do appreciate that.  It was a beautiful unplanned happening
and I think that is what makes it so very special to me.  Thank you sweet lady.

Lauren baby, you know I sis, and your words
mean so very much to me.

I really want to care,
I want to feel something,
let me dig a little deeper
nah, still nothing~

The myth
subjected
to reality
leaves
everybody
wanting.
...I'm not sure what that has to do with anything but I felt it needed saying.

Exquisite duetting ladies, but one would expect no less from the likes of you two.
This is a fine compliment to poetry and the written word.

Impressive, indeed~  Kudos, hugs and all that!
