Between the Lines

0 posted 2005-04-26 08:42 AM

The real me is still hidden
in the mix of words
where I love you
is spread so thin that
it cannot be felt.

On days like these,
I bleed blue, wishing to be spared
the sticks and stones
as I watch the sun try to shine
through the lies of my life,
where the only warmth comes from
the reading of others' happiness.

It is only Tuesday
and already these eyes are worn tired,
the thoughts behind dated
in yesterday, when anticipation
kept me and your touch against my curves
would send me
and words were just words
but a kiss... well
it wasn't just a kiss.

It was a challenge
in the shadows, instant fantasy
come true. I remember those times
when I felt like a spoiled child...
and now?
I feel hungry all the time.

the sticks and stones

the whole thing is worth quoting, wow...
I remember when I could still 'feel', when I longed for life to be different, when I longed for 'his' touch...now I just exist...not sure which is worse...but I do know I read you...and I wish I had something/someone to long for sigh

Those who know
that hunger
appreciate the smallest joys
even more.

You make me think when you write

I know I am not supposed to do this but you write visions I can see and feelings I can feel

And I never wrote this of course

I love the mixture and feeling in your words
