Uniqueness

I.
Walleye gather great stones of rock
A culture I don’t want to wake up to
New Jerusalem sleeps in my hand
Daughters, of wandering nomads
Plunge to the breast of their own Gods
Purging souls of chaotic realms
Listening like a child
To droplets of boundless sage
Green emerald is their sheen
Not waiting for rations of nodding heads
Every day visiting that maritime
To listen, to pray, surrendering to their own language

II.
Their freakish dreams gaze through bars
Fluttering foreign, here and there
For me, thin blue flames & mountain crags
Are cloud filled skies, hooded with machine guns
Singing the songs of background noise
Their dreams do not liberate me…
I watch from their graves of indecision
Buckling the cinch of my horse

III.
Sperm flakes red circles in my eyes
Laughing at the roan I chose, untried
We ran from the glistening bubbles of genetics
While they bred humped shoulders zig-zagging
Murmuring something about name’s sake
Forgetting the soft white fingers of dear art
Nestled and twinkling, audacious self-sufficiency

IV
I am the garden bought to read
The face with an unknown crevice
So, I opened the wrong door for learning’s sake
I wasn’t afraid to be a my own martyr
Who says it wasn’t beautifully welcoming?
With rare creatures and new kin
That won’t push to get a front row seat
Or gossip bout where I’ve been
Doesn’t make me right or some poor friend’s king
Because I dance with the weather
Rinsing my sacrificial goblet

V.
Offering you a drink…
The day won’t snap into poison
I simply see a different color
Of which, my mouth would like to bite into
To sense
To feel
To touch
The priest of morning light
A different market place we shop
Where the ink runs the wrong way
Love’s bliss gives out free permits
One for me, one for you…
Don’t bite the hand which feeds you.
Footnote:  This is about the great pains of trying to live up to someone else's expectations of what or who they "think" you should be...we are a society at times, who doesn't know how to allow others thoughts, or even consider first, they're happiness, not ours, out of fear of venturing out, fear of change, even fear of rejoicing for someone elses sucess, somehow, we've got to allow each and everyone, our parents, children, friends, they're individuality, disagree or not...allowance, is love unconditional...

All of the lines are quotable...
so hard to pick one or two that stand out...

but in these two, lie your strength.
