This is to that sign
The one that I can't find
The one The motorists greet
as they drive my street

You must be on my lawn o, sign
O, sign that I can never find
O, sign you have to say:
"Throw all your trash out here!"

Empty beer bottles
bags that once held chips
give me your popsicle sticks
straight from your lips

Where are you o, sign
I'd like to remove you
maybe replace you
with my own that would read:

"Keep all your boxes"
"Keep your candy wrappers"
"Take all that stuff
throw it in the crapper"

From two sides I get it
from south and from west
forever to pick it up
I'll do my best

I live on a corner in a small town and  have to constantly pick up beer bottles and fast food cartons etc...( also cigarette butts)that passers by think  to throw out because of the stretch of open yard.
So I understand~~

Have I introduced you to Robin?

grin

I must, someday.

Outside of the gas company, in Harvey, oh I know you know the place, she once witnessed someone tossing trash out of their car window. Before I could stop her (thank goodness) she stepped out of OUR waiting vehicle and gathered the trash they'd dropped, proceeded to rap on their window, and as they rolled down the window wondering "WTF?" she said simply, "I believe you dropped this!" and placed the trash on the woman's lap!

Nod. I sat there smiling while I re-loaded, and then we drove away.

Harvey, yanno?

hugs and applause you cute lil tree hugger you
