An intense spring storm
the calendar claims April
but just look outside
tiny plants lie shivering
old man winter's final breath.

Dear Nancy, this is very lovely and ... your words and the picture are so eloquent that I shiver too (it is cold once again in the homes here too!).

Love and hugs.

Hi Chris and Margherita!
Yes..can you believe this weather?
It was in the 80's midweek and now
we are expecting 18-12 inches of snow!!
Thank you both for responding and warm hugs.

This can be one of those times of year when the daffodils say "To heck with this, I'm going back down!"  Well done, Nancy.  KJ

Hi Ken~I don't recall having a snow storm at this late date in April. It was so lovely just a few days ago too.
Hurry summer!!  Hugs.

Hey Scorpio!  It sure is damp and cold, not to mention the wind and snow.
Thank you for mentioning the pic which was taken a couple of days ago, outside, when the temp was about 80 degrees. LOL.
Hugs & Such.

Hopefully it is winter's final breath.
Great write and picture! I can feel it, and
I'm more grateful now for our 53 degrees this morning.

K~Thank you for your response, and I will have to go outside today and check to see how much has been ruined by the snow and cold.  Hopefully most plants will bounce back.  Hugs.

Smiling at this...don't you know the actual moving days were rather warm...and once we got tucked in? Cool weather returned...but no snow, thank goodness.  Just wonderful April showers...to encourage those May flowers!

This is lovely, hip-sis!
