where ever the fly fishing is good

For lil miros
Somewhere out there a parent holds a halo
from the softer barefoot summer days of there child’s youth.
With the flooding of gentle memories
Grief and mourning try to hold their council
As a steady stream of tears fall down.
But know this-
Her halo was traded for a victor’s crown
Given from the hand of the Master himself
In out stretched arms
Though she dances still in our hearts
She will forever dance at the Fathers feet
And dwell in His midst
To light a gentle smile
upon His face.
That is shared with us
In painted desert sunset’s
And silvered spired smiles
Hung above the Rockies.
Because I never new her
I can only imagine
Her being a mixture of
the gentle spirit of her father
And a warning label that reads
“dynamite comes in small packages”
which undoubtedly came from her mother
but having known both of you I would say
she was a champion of love
an impassioned soul for Christ
a wavy haired soccer player
and daddy’s little girl.

This is a work in progress just wanted to post what i had and see if the feedback tells me Iam going in the right direction with it. Or if I just need to start all over again. Thanks for your time

Soulfisher,

I think it is very personal and would be treasured.  Very touching.

I think it is a beautiful tribute.
You made me feel as if I had known her...

Such comfort felt in your words, and understanding of this pain, the recipient will indeed know your intended direction.  Clear and soothing.
