In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2005-04-22 05:21 PM

He wears his shell well
and I suffer his loneliness --
as we pass through fields
and mourn another day lost

I know again, tonight I wont
sleep my faith    gone
in restful youth
that I should turn away  now
all will be lost

tonight the stars don't help
they are not there, not real

~
that life has left us in pieces
continues --
all these years
learning to love a different religion

the wish unheard
stays within me
a black stone--
the husk of my heart

&

summer will again pass--
and I will be left with the
shadows of footprints

weeping
to once again
fall into you

~~*~~
I'm Standing on a bridge
I'm waitin in the dark
I thought that you'd be here by now
Theres nothing but the rain

To know the limitations of time together is to feel the bitter sweetness of life, to laugh and cry at the same timeā€¦.  Powerful write.

you write a trance with your words - your talent leaving a loss of speech -

Wow! One of PiP's true creators sends forth another lesson....listen-up folks, this is how poetry is done!

----------
.....and these words....

the wish unheard
stays within me
a black stone--
the husk of my heart

....would you mind terribly if I stole them?
