Between the Lines

I know a kiss would soothe the ease
of this silent morn, lacking rain
but air filled to capacity
leaving me feeling frizzy.

A good day ahead, to catch the smiles
of little ones, trying to resist the laughter
that rises in me when they say and do
what parents should only be able to enjoy.

A back road drive, to enjoy the greening
of the Spring time scenery, the golden flecks
of Daffodils and dangly branches of Forsythia
inviting the eyes to gaze into tomorrow.

The shadows are parting and I can see
the morning stars guiding me today.

If the morning stars are guiding you?

then I am walking in your footsteps shadowed.

this gave me a smile, as the entire poem paints a languid pretty sea....

I like your words.

"I know a kiss would soothe the ease
of this silent morn, lacking rain"

I think we all like alternatives.

Take care
