Forsaken I am for the good of it all,
my cross my own consciousness,
heavy tonight amidst my flight
into the way of this life …
and so suffers my innocence
and openness to believe.

But it’s done and no one suffocates
under the strings of a lie …
not yet because two steps behind
truth waits like a snake to strike
unless, unless, I grow up tonight
into a mystical being
able to eat of venom
and enjoy like a sweet candy bar.

In the grand design I am but a pawn
two steps behind a fine intellect
but in time a prophet will say,
“It was always ordained as so”
and in time I will come to know
the good of it all includes me.

Released from the burden of being just me
and even trees grow strong underground
two steps behind the bearing of fruit
above the waft of heartache!

Helen, I have always known you to be a mystical being.

*smile*

Your thoughts are cold water for sipping in a dry cold night.

I like your style Lady, reflecting the courage and still imbued love to go on, respect of true nature, not taking it person, understanding that human nature does what it does, sometimes not knowing any better, not wanting to hurt or create storms in the lives of others, but does so...you, seem to understand that with great compassion and faith....write on!

Thank you, Eric.  Healing is an ongoing process and I've become very patient of late.

I've always thought of you as a person who speaks great truth.  I know I've told you before how wise I think you are...but I know you are no doubt also human...and sometimes maybe a lie creeps in.  I think it will not be the end of the world, if it does.  Perhaps there will be a lesson in it, as there is in all things.     Sorry for the lecture.
