I'll cherish the blushing pink

When yellowed is the twinkling left too you and I,
And rose-colored the half light ere the close of day,
I'll cherish the blushing pink of thy youthful thigh,
And regret naught these hours of sweet disarray.

When raven debilities take all that youth gave,
I'll hold fast to the colors once savored with thee,
The azure of remembrance is a tidal wave,
Which bolsters the aged o'er Time's, “Noachian Sea.”

In the hues of the rainbow stain sorrow not dear,
For in crimson and ruby I’d have dyed your lips,
To thy milky white skin I will ever adhere—
—Although hues of brilliance, Time must ever eclipse.

I see amethyst dreams when I look in your eyes,
O’ the hues of ardor let’s sensationalize.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

Kevin, I could read these lines over and over again! ~ Mind you, the other ones were memorable as well!

~ "I'll cherish the blushing pink of thy youthful thy"

~ "The azure of remembrance is a tidal wave,"
~ "To thy milky white skin I will ever   adhere"

~ "I see amethyst dreams when I look in your eyes,"

~ "Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!"

Thank-you Linda...I am grateful for the comment. The line, "Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!" is not actually part of the poem. It is my signature line. Something I have been saying since college. Although rereading the poem with the signature does actually make sense...and it put a smile upon my face. Funny how sometimes things work out that way. I am off to bed...gonna get 2 hours sleep if I am lucky before I have to get up for work. Ooooooh! Night, night. Kevin.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!
