i am only half        of me
without
the flesh and kisses
or the blood and salt

in this
rising of autumn
      this falling of spring

a bitter-sweet
collision

and i        will go on
to face the meshing
of the seasons

the silent whisperings
that fill my mouth
with madness
as the days slip
round me
longer than the blur

of a time
that is not your own

and the half
that is left
is only a guest
in your destiny
a musing of wings
that suggests
we might rise

The image produced by your stunning words unveils the frailty of being.

It is good to be back.....there are fences to ride and hay to put up before winter, but there are flowers in the grass and the streams are full of trout.....
