Situation: Normal

Situation: normal
everything's okay here
just don't come around
as I'm swimming in beer
no, drowning
no, situation's abnormal
I'm feeling hormonal
and it's all your damn fault

Lose myself in the blue endless days
blues and jazz records and alcohol
trying to pretend my pain is going away
as I'm stumbling down your hall
playing make believe that we're still together
but the scenery shifts back to reality
and I'm stranded in the bad weather
crying and sighing on me, I'm hiding under the trees
maybe the lightning will find me
and force me to feel again
but it's just me and this black dripping tree
as it just rains and rains and rains

Situation: normal
everything's the same here
just don't follow me down
as I'm drowning in fear
no, dying
no, situation's abnormal
I'm feeling pitiful
and it's all your damn fault

I can't even light my cigarette
I'm throwing your things out the window
through your window I see a silhouette
that doesn't belong to you, I know
and I'm screaming like torture chamber
on the curb with the impending rain
just how many bullets are in the chamber
just how many raindrops can the sky contain
till it bursts like my eyes
my macho posturing gone
it was only a cheap disguise
for my heart like a ticking timebomb

Situation: normal
once you cut the right wire
like you cut me off on the phone
and I'm burning in the fire
no, ashes
no, situation's abnormal
I've lost my soul
and it's in your pocket

Now I want back the locket
I bought for you
I want back everything
I want your lies to be the truth
but I'm taking your promises with a grain of salt
I'm losing ground, and it's all your damn fault

Ooh, she used to be neon and blue
she used to look up at me with such a mournful gaze
ooh, guess it was my love that she outgrew
and looked around for another one to amaze
and I'm amazed at the way she left me sorrowful
the situation is anything but normal
I may be a wreck, my life on hold
and I bet she'd like to think I'm feeling suicidal
but sooner or later I'll be silver and gold
shining in my heart's revival

Situation: pending
everything's nothing just yet
like I'm stuck at the stoplight
and my destination isn't set
yeah, I don't know
yeah, situation's favorable
for feelings homicidal
I said that just to freak you out

Did it work?
Hope so
you think I'm a jerk
I guess you would know
that's your favorite flavor
situation's comical
still sad but mindful
of the changes time brings
you trade in your wings
for a black Cadillac
the rain has left the city
and I'm never going back
situation: normal
situations and capitulations
your love's abnormal
so flip me over, I'm done
and it's all your damn fault
so hey, thanks a lot

'I can't even light my cigarette

Very intense. I do question the use of' window' in repetition. Perhaps find a way to rearrange that w/o one? Enjoyed!
