Color Me Gone

I color you in my minds ability
In colors that change just as the winds
It's the dawning of memories that's embraced my wish to forget
Where, I can't in a moments weakness
And, where time allows me to choose the shade...

I color you green in my minds ability
In an attempt to visit nature
It's my soul absorbed in thought and still surrounded with trees
Where, the steps became our familiarity
And, where nothing but a blanket held us...

I color you brown in my minds ability
In a lasting image of serene
It's my heart recalling the beach and the sounds never heard like this
Where, the ocean was as strong as our emotions
And, your hand prints still imbeds the sands...

I color you white in my minds ability
In an awe of a different light
It's the sweetness the waters provided in protection of it's shield
Where cleansing my soul also became my friend
And, where I leaned against my greatest comfort...

I color you blue in my minds ability
In a shade unlike any other
It's the gentle craving my body had rested upon in all this
Where, inside was no longer to far to reach
And, where sacred just had no boundaries...

I color you remembered in my minds ability
In endless love that holds my attention
It's the visual of every gem my fingers could hold of you
Where, time has seemed to slip them off
And, where, now, I color me gone...
