A New Day [meets]

New Again

Simple as a baby’s blink
Comes a fast, enticing wink
Heard upon the thunder’s storm
Quick as night comes to morn

Everything begins as new again

Old becomes mold, wisped away
Stories become legend, given say
One wanders aimlessly through a day
Allow not my feet to become as clay

Everything turns to new again

Microscopic notations abound
Life is quivering underground
Living things reach for the light
Then soak in depth the cool of night

Everything quickens to new again

Not for us to match time’s moments
Nor say when we should lose our torments
But to take a chance in our desires
To flash awake inherent fires

Everything comes to new again

Join me in the here and now
Seek the changes, and I’ll avow
To see in my eyes the twinkling scene
As everything comes to new again

~*~

For those who have suffered
recent losses and pain...
moments will soon, someday,
be new again.

awesome, even though my perception kinda clash with the idea of the poem, you put it really well.

Sunshine, your internal Light has touched me and I feel as thoug I have experienced an epiphany with this poem.  It is very beautifully written, as it meets "A New Day."  Lovely...simply lovely.

Karilea, I am glad each day gives us a brand new start. Otherwise, there would be nothing to look forward to.

When rough patches so often place the pebbles in life, it seems that the difficult days will last forever and moments of joy are fleeting… but it’s important to remember that even in troubled times, “this too shall pass.”  There are days of light and joy.  Your poem reflects it well, with a smooth flow and guiding picture.  Enjoyed this poem!

"Old becomes mold, wisped away"

The brain kicked in with this line in thinking this was about cleaning the house :-)

Wrong again!

Thank you, everyone. Two separate poems, seeming to compliment one to the other.  It felt good to revive them, and I'm glad you all enjoyed.
