living in the land of Voll
the people unenlightened
they march on with eyes shut tight
not caring what they trample

the people from another land
were called the Yisconeasions
they met the blinded men from Voll
and said please stop and listen
"could you at least remove the shades
wich hide the world from you?"

but "NO" they said
"Why should we stop?"
"we never haver have before?"
we must continue going strong
and trample you in stride

Well done Ralph...enjoyed the read.
Hugs~Nancy

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul

I enjoyed.

"they march on with eyes shut tight
not caring what they trample"

Within the sound of silence...

please ignore the word "haver" in the last verse as it was a typo. Sorry for any confusion but I still an a bit clumsy with keyboards.  I actually penned this one when I was in high school. Thanks again for reading

no confusion for this reader

some never know
they are tramplers
and it isn't even that they choose to trample
they simply are unaware

good thought provoking write

Nodding, I had a feeling Kace, would especially like this one.

It may be an old one Ralph, but sadly, some things remain timely, like your message here.

Prolly one of my favorites from you. Thus far.

(and pssssssst....proud of you)

At the time when I wrote this my English teacher and everybody else thought it was about Vietnam but actually I was just making a comment on aggressive behavior in general although it did play in my mind the currant events of my teen years. Again thank you for reading.
