Upon this ledge,
One I have seen before,
I sit and ponder.
Should I jump?
or should I fall.

If I decide to jump,
I may fly
continue with my life
and be crushed by pressures of heavy air.

If I choose to fall,
My wings are broken
I am free to plummet
Free to land and stay
With no other choices in my way.
If I leap, I may inadvertently drop.

Since when did I give up?
Since when have I been a coward?
My mind says it is easy
My heart says it is not.
A choice is upon me
I must decide quickly
For my heart and mind both say,
“Choose soon, or it may be too late,
Are you going to jump?
Or do you choose to stay.”
