A few words today took me back to this - it was set around Communist China and escape then, but it seems to have meaning now.

Two Chinese ladies watch
Amongst the Willow and the Stream
Their faces are just white
Is it what they’ve seen
There looking for a man
Swimming from the shore
The boats are heading for him
Should they ask for more
They both love him for his life
And so he comes to them
The Patrol Boat crosses over
And makes an evil blend
And then the man arrives
On the bank so dear
The ladies have gone
They ran away from here
When the boats crawled over
A life they held so dear
All they had left to face
Was their only fear
But love keeps one alive
And the morning finds one more
And so the dawn awakes
He is alone no more

Thanks

It was written in Mao times when people were dying to reach anywhere out of China.

Only now do the costs of the millions who died start to come out.

No-one has killed as many as the Chinese did, during this period.
