In this land where all is well
all who live there buy and sell
their wares in perfect harmony;
they all live in one colony.

Unquestioning all follow Law
laid out in the Nature’s draw
the Code is written with a twist
in a scroll of endless X-Y list.

In deep dark woods a black bird crows
a secret no one but he knows
where in the shadows of the night
grim soldiers readied for a fight —

The Code by all revered - they scorn
new order in their image born —
they march the march of renegade
and turn the land of light to shade.

— But little do they have to boast -
for in their march they stomped their host —

Thank you, passing shadows.

I doubt there is anyone who has not been affected by this in one way or another...

It reminds of a Queen track - '39'.

So many lost to cancer for so long.

Excellent words.

Thank you.
Several moons ago
my mother visited me here,
in this state, in her
physical state...

and we knew of the moments
that were dear; we made memories
even though in our minds?
We hoped against hope, all the while
knowing the odds were odd, indeed...

and she was gone, just a few months later,
in '92.

Holding you in your memorial time...
and thanking you for this part of life.
