Tomorrow

Its tomorrow I cannot wed
To me and now it figures dead
It’s now that I am born to see
It’s now that will and always be

Like horizons sight and sail
It’s in the wait like future mail
You must get past today to stay
It is the mainframe of today

Tomorrow is a hope a wish
A bittersweet upon a dish
The well we drink of fantasy
The cup that holds eternity

It is the essence of our wend
And the substance of our end
It is the paradox of core
It’s what we call the evermore

So take my hand before I die
And we will sing the song of sigh

i cant agree more, the last couplet just finishes the bittersweet mood of the poem really well.

Yes, truly a bittersweet write Sy...
But let's enjoy this glorious day, shall we?

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul

please know,
that i read almost everything you write on here,
but i can never think of what to say
without sounding like a foolish teenager.
your writting is beautiful
and it inspires me.
