Poetry’s Second Week – April Flowers

You thought it had been forgotten.

Not being here last week with accolades;
so, synopsis of the first:
See poet… See poet read;
a veritable professor of language, one
who receives pay to feed faces and mortgages; and

sadly, only intimate with lesser audiences ~
not expecting over a hundred in kind; so,
he must have wished the thunder to bellow more,
that lightening would strike, as

he faltered, withered, shrank, not knowing
he would be accepted, highlighted, revered…

and in his faltering human form,
withdrew.

However, he did leave lessons behind.

~*~

Week Two

Former Nun, capitalize the word, for here,
before God,
rose a sister of the white, bearer of the ring
once before; questioning her own
sacrifice; questioning in utterance, form;

then capturing with intelligencia
illustrations behind the veil,
fleshing life whole
and not without the fact that
change
charges.

~*~

Poetry.  The month of April beckons,
springs forth riotous ventures,
even askance of self,
and the affirmation of
yes.

Sissy

"even askance of self,
and the affirmation of
yes."

Can I just add my YES!?     of course I can.

There is a neat little wine called Blue Nun that also helps writing, but I could down a case and not come up with your phrasing.  You always make me think.  KJ

I picture the settings vividly!   Nicely expressed, Sunshine!

Excellent write Karilea...
this is wonderfully written.
Hugs YOU!

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul
