Strangled arms of every tree fall closer to matted dreams

dipping in a frenzy for my soiled wishes

clogging the skyline of you and I

You survived the suffocation of dizzy heights

Arms open wide for the world to spit you into recognition

just close enough to dusky pink for me to smile

at your setting behind the autumn lacklusture

that failed to fill me in, fill me content

Well I wish I could bend back my own

creep like upturned palms to sunlight

and never have met you

to never have walked in the wind, motionless

or heard you test the rain with the icicles of your voice

for tasting

is wanting

all

over

again
.
.
and

you

are

branches below the cut-off, stooping to the dark

with no cure.
