Beautiful, Sharon, and timely, too. I was thinking about both you and Willow yesterday as I was sitting out overlooking the ravine and the willow tree. I even mentioned it to Wayne. The buds are coming out, and the leaves are starting to unfurl in the wonderful warmth we've had the last week. It was a lovely, comforting sight.

Best wishes and hugs,
/Kit

Sharon it is so good to see you writing for Willow again..
When you write of her I feel your loss
yet at the same time feel as though I knew her as well.

But into my heart

Sharon, this
is a true sharing
of the depth of your feelings
that will never disappear
for the ones you love.

An excellent presentation.

A splendid tribute.

Hello my friend, long time since I've seen you and vice-versa!

I know how much you miss your beloved friend. How I wish I could snuggle up with you and we could cry together.

Sending warm Spring thoughts and hugs from both Ron and me.  Marti

Thank you all for understanding.  I have been so busy with life but I do come to read in Passions, always will.  I keep waiting for this ache to go away, but I guess it never will.  One day, when its raining I too will be dancing with her to the sound of someone's heart I imagine.

Lovely in both its presentation and its bittersweet inspiration.
Willow is your most giving muse.
Well done poetess of the mysterious pen.

Again thank you for your kink words.  It is really amazing how this ache surfaces at the craziest times.  Out of no where it surfaces, and the only way I deal with it is to write a little something, so thank you for reading it yet again

The imagery is an interesting accompaniment to the poem.  I like how the eyes are opened, but isolated, and the silhouette is dark and unseen---there's a neat conflict there, but it helps to combine the impression of looking out, even though the eyes and the silhouette seem to be facing each other.  I wish you would interpret the image for me, though, because I still feel like there's a lot I'm not getting.

The visual divide in the poem itself is also helpful---whether it is a change of perspective or just of subject matter, it underlines the greater shift right at the center of the poem---

First, there's the insider looking at the outside that echoes what is on the inside but never reaches it (the windowpane being between them), raindrops from both sides being unable to penetrate to the other side---a similarity of "inside and out."

In the second part, I see an identification of inside and out---not looking out, but knowing out (as in, drawing in the other person you're considering by relating specifically to her).  It seems like the conclusion you're coming to is that internalized relationship can break the imaginary barriers of human relation, the "windowpane" against which rain strikes from the inside and the out.

If I'm right, it's a wonderful moral---but one thing I'm sure of is that it's a wonderful poem.  You say you're no poet, but your years of reading experience are showing here, Sharon.  This is a lovely artistic triumph.

Brian, again I would like to think this that is for sure, and base each day on this premise.  When you are so connected to a soul departed, they never leave you, and become almost a spirit guide in your subconscious.  Thanks for the detailed comment (again, I kept it and taped it to the back of Willow's poem, as I keep all these to bring with me, when once again I see her.

Karen you too lady, you too!

Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
