By what manner whispers a dream
the name of this woman of needs
though curtained the window
and locked the doors
to the haunting of fantasy?

Don’t forget he implores
but I’ve moved from the place
where once I bowed to his grace
for he mirrors an untrue reflection
down here on the earthly plane.

It’s a party trick; we’re at a masked ball,
and to suffer the loss is no chore
when pulling the strings of images
up the pathway of dishonesty.

Yes, I’ll remember weakness and fear
and how it diminishes love.
I’ll remember the power of mind
that became as a candle light
but excuse me, I’m busy,
I’m learning to lie
and forget what it feels like to cry!

(Just a vent, I guess)

Helen

"but excuse me, I’m busy,
I’m learning to lie
and forget what it feels like to cry!"

Those last three lines are very powerful...I want to tell you....No, you don't lie...at least your writing is very truth filled...and I have heard you cry.

Thanks to all for the read.

I guess "things" are only sad if we make them so.   I'm learning, you see, about the power of mind - immortal mind.
