What are you, being of the Sea?
Staring at me with that hidden eye,
Like a creature born to dine me,
But with my delight you swiftly die.

I hate you not, but I worship you.
For without you, I am nothing more
Than no-one with nothing to do
But watching you vanish ashore.

Thus I flee away from the sand ashore,
Slicing the Sea surface gliding through,
Against each dying waves whom I adore,
Battling me as my ardor slowly grew.

So keenly in the water I wait and I wait
‘Til you tower behind me before that boom.
‘Til that moment we re’lise there’s no hate,
Just desire to send ourselves to tomb.

And whose sweet voice do I hear?
Her face as fine, cold as her breath
Shadowed by her dark robe of fear,
Her scythe… she’s none other than Death

So come here Death, let me seduce You!
Dance with me! But dare not to fantasise
To take my hand to Heaven’s gate, too.
Here my soul eternally lives, not dies.

Swim with me, Vicious Aphrodite!
As I flee from the shiny sway
Of your scythe with all my might!
As thunder struck, I’ll dance away.

Chase me! Catch me if you can,
With that sleek swaying scythe of yours.
Though with greater speed I ran and I ran,
Adrenaline streaming without a pause.

Still, with great force your blade tried
To take me, but I rid on like a pest
To the sand, where the Wave softly died
And the Sun and Sea shut their Eyes and rest.

There's lot's to ponder here, in your first post Freewheelin.
It had a lovely flow, and evoked some great images.
Much enjoyed.

It was nice corresponding with you.
I hope you enjoy your stay. Welcome to Passions!

Best wishes,
/Kit

I look forward to seeing more of your work.
WELCOME TO PASSIONS!

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul

Welcome to passions...pleasure to read you.
This poem certainly reminds me of someone and I hope he somehow reads it.
Twilight, where the sea and the sun rest...that's the perfect rendering here.
