I arrived
in the middle of your monologue
impressed by the way
you spoke with your hands
and drew your audience in
with your eyes
and the rise and fall
of your voice
perfectly timed inflections
subtle innuendo
meant for those
who knew
a patronizing
yet terribly sexy smile
for those
who didn’t

I stood there
in the back
unobtrusively captivated
watching you own
center stage

your eyes caught mine
and for just a moment
the innuendo
was too subtle
the smile
too smug
for anyone else
but me

I watched you
read my eyes
before I looked away
and I knew
you knew
....you always did

I helped myself to a beer
sighed and thought
another time perhaps....

Mmmmm, yes...there are moments
just like that...

I saw it all, SEA...and a delightful
trip for the eyes it was...

Left me wanting ..more.

Wow, this offers the reader some great imagery!
I'm smiling, 'savoring' a similar moment tucked away long ago.
