I made for you pet name tattoos
out of warm water words
and left them under the stones

in the room with dark walls
yes there is a window
on the shadowed side

and the watchers are always there
to applaud and gasp perhaps
but then there are the rewards

of white ropes and satin
and the man of dragons
that pants to heal your wounds

if you should ever fall
wide legged sedulous
into your hearts calling

from a fenced seat prospective

with nothing but your tattoos
pressed against my skin

down by-roads of distraction
