beautiful...just beautiful.....
I have closed, locked and thrown away the key to many of the doors of my past...but that seems to lead to only a long lonely straight hallway...sigh....memories are precious, and worth hanging on to...and you say it beautifully

Serenity gal...yes, you sure can Thank you for putting me in the same company as Kit..THAT is a compliment!...and thanks for taking the time to read the poems and not just see them...you are appreciated

jellybeans, I think we all have hallways that lead to doors we would like to keep locked but I suppose the tapestry of our lives relies on every thread that composes it, each important in its own way. Thank you, K, for your thoughts

Michael it's as if you described almost exactly what I do.  I alwayz enjoy your writing very much.  What a delight this was.  Thank You for sharing. It's nice to be reading in the blue pages once again.

Hey sweet man... that MIND of yours isn't a hallway, it's a mansion of stories that you could tell at any minute that would leave us all breathless and begging for more.

I've always said that if most people have ghosts in their closets, then I must have a whole dang graveyard lol

Everynow and then, I visit them for a while

Great to know Im not the only one that goes back to yesteryear for a memory.

Great write

)))hugs(((

I can't believe I missed this!  It was such a gentle road you wrote and roamed here and I sure enjoyed the walk.  I too find the only escape from it all is sitting in a comfy chair, and letting my mind roll back to slower, more understandable times.  Great write as always.  You seem to make this look so easy until I actually try it!

Tima, it may be a mansion but it's got a lot more cobwebs than it used to have thanks for going back with me

mysteria...I can picture you doing just that...ain't it fun? With the hallways you have, that must really be fun! Enjoy!

I was looking for a peaceful write, and came across this tonight.

Thinking of you and found you “in the hallways of my mind” dear friend. Missing your brilliance Michael.

Yep! Like my Gramps always said; "If you want to see brilliance, boy... don't look at the sun, just keep diggin' deeper!"

Yep! That's what he used to say alright!
